For 2004 Triumph revised the cylinder head and crankcases, added a backlash eliminator gear, reworked the gearchange internals and the swingarm, and introduced Scorched Yellow paint. Styling was tidied with a sleeker top fairing, new mirrors and a slimmer seat cowl. A Jet Black special had textured black frame, wheels and swingarm.
